Upon Graduation from the University of St. Thomas in 1992, Tom started his insurance career as a sales agent, training with a regional direct-writer insurance company in St. Paul, MN. Tom then joined a large independent insurance agency in Edina, MN specializing in Workers’ Compensation. He returned home to Duluth in 1998, and has provided risk management and comprehensive insurance services to many businesses around Northern MN and Northwest WI.

Tom currently serves on the St. Mary’s Medical Center Board of Directors as well as the SMMC/SMHS Executive Committee and is active with many other community organizations.

Rhonda began her insurance career in 1987 as a Customer Service Assistance for Insurance Service Agency in Duluth, MN. In 1990, she took a position with RJA Companies in Eden Prairie, MN, as an Account Manager for commercial property & casualty insurance, focusing on marketing and customer relations. In 1996, she joined Otis-Magie Insurance Agency, and is currently the Commercial Lines Manager. In addition to managing, she continues to focus on large commercial accounts, with an emphasis on marketing, risk analysis, and customer relations.

Rhonda earned her Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 1994.
Continued educational studies relating to insurance and business operations are an ongoing objective for Rhonda to meet the needs of the agency's clients.

Dan received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1986 and immediately went to work in the insurance industry as an underwriter specializing in property and casualty insurance. He joined the Otis-Magie team in 1988 when he and his wife decided to return to the Duluth- Superior area to raise their family. Dan enjoys hiking, travel, antiques and home restoration. Dan received his Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 1992 and specializes in Commercial Property and Casualty coverage as well as Group Employee Benefits.

Bob began his insurance career in 1969 after receiving his Bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bemidji State University. Bob is active in the Rotary Club of Duluth, The Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce, Miller Dwan Foundation and the Labovitz School of Business and Economics-UMD. He also enjoys fishing, hunting, gardening and cooking. Bob appreciates the quality support staff at Otis-Magie, and the open access to markets that allows him to provide the best solutions to his clients. Bob specializes in commercial lines of coverage for aviation related businesses.

Mike began his insurance career in 1960 in Minneapolis with the nation’s largest insurance agency and transferred to Duluth in 1965. Mike joined the Otis-Magie-Gustafson Agency in 1967 and became a shareholder and president in 1979. His primary focus has been property and casualty insurance and working with larger complex commercial accounts. Mike has served as a member on some of the major insurance companies Agents Advisory Councils and on the boards of a number of civic organizations and is an active member of the Duluth Rotary Club. Enjoys spending time with his family and grandchildren, golf, travel and being at the cabin.

Matt has been working in the insurance industry for over 5 years, starting his insurance career with the largest bank-owned insurance brokerage in the United States. He has been very successful providing comprehensive and competitive products to his customers, while providing the highest quality of customer service and personal assistance to meet his customers’ individual needs.  He is licensed in Property and Casualty Insurance as well as Life and Health.

A Duluth native, Matt is a graduate of the University of MN – Duluth and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. He enjoys coaching hockey, playing golf and is an active member of the Duluth Chamber of Commerce. 

Eric, a lifelong Duluthian, began his insurance career with the Otis-Magie Agency as a customer service representative after serving with the 148th Fighter Wing of the Minnesota Air National Guard for 9 years. With a background in serving commercial accounts and working directly with the underwriters, Eric brings a unique understanding to commercial insurance. Eric specializes in commercial coverage and has earned his CISR designation.

Cory has been in the insurance industry for over 5 years, starting his career with a large direct writer insurance company. He is a graduate of the University Of Minnesota-Duluth with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Cory is also licensed in Property & Casualty as well as Group Benefits. HIs strength’s come from cultivating trusting relationships with business owners, analyzing their insurance needs, then recommending and implementing the proper insurance program for their specific needs and requirements. Corey and his family reside in Ashland, Wi and his focus is on business owners in Northwest WI as well as Northern MN. In his free time Cory enjoys golfing, fishing and participating in Hockey.
